First-timer Wins Award

FIRST time en­trants to the Prime Min­is­ter’s In­ter­na­tional Busi­ness Awards, Pa­cific Ocean Cul­ture Fiji were the win­ners of the 2019 Pri­mary In­dus­try Busi­ness Ex­cel­lence Award.

Com­pany co-owner Cathy Joyce said sus­tain­able pro­duc­tion was vi­tal to the suc­cess of their busi­ness.

“We are very ex­cited with the aqua­cul­ture sec­tor at the mo­ment be­cause there’s a very com­mit­ted and strong fo­cus on sus­tain­abil­ity,” she said.

“We are very ex­cited for a small busi­ness that is in a ru­ral area sup­port­ing growth for the ladies from Nakavu who help de­velop our pro­cess­ing fa­cil­ity.
